5.2 Miles of Winning!

Big news, guys! I did my longest run today since I got injured last August! Woohoo! It was 5.2 miles in 45:58. I felt great and enjoyed myself. Except for minimal shin soreness in the 2nd mile, I had absolutely no problems with my legs. It was awesome to go out for a long time. I hate short runs. I feel like I got nowhere and the endorphins don't build up enough. Runs longer than 4 miles make me so happy! I'm on my way to kicking butt in the Urban Cow Half in October!

Last night, my mom got free tickets to Sacramento's local baseball team, the Rivercats (I don't know what those are, in case you asked!). It was a few days after their season opening game. I enjoyed being there, but it got cold very quickly. I don't enjoy wearing 20 layers of jackets and blankets so we left at the top of the 8th. I don't know who won, but it was a close game against the Las Vegas 51s (what the heck is a "51"?!). I did get to have my first hotdog of the season though. Nothing better than a baseball hotdog covered in ketchup, mustard, and relish! Yummy! I should've taken a picture but that thing had no chance. I devoured it in about a minute!
Rivercats stadium on a Monday night=completely empty!
Oh hai cute baseball player!
This is a really sporadic post and I apologize but my brain is all over the place with things I want to share with you.

Someone on Facebook, I think, posted this link. It's pretty crazy how fat affects the body.

Second random thing, another friend on Facebook posted this video of Ryan Hall preparing for Boston. It's pretty cool to watch him run like a freaking gazelle. I think he needs some nutrition tips but maybe they edited out the scenes of him eating protein, fruits, and veggies...uh, yeah...sure.

Oh and here's a gratuitious picture of my stuffing my face with 3 day old, but still delicious, chocolate angel food cake! I mainly just wanted to show off how nice my curls looked today. God bless Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Creme!
